Like As If It Couldn't Get Any Worse

Continued from Malcolm's blog (Part 8)

Kye Chin, Danly and I ran towards the safe house which was where the canteen workers used to work. Well, actually we were dragged by En. Sara, to be precise. En. Sara managed to barricade the area just enough to prevent the zombies from coming in fast enough, although that wont be enough at all. I could hear them were dragging their legs and swinging their bloody arms around.


"STAY HERE AND DO NOT MOVE AND INCH YOU HEAR ME?" he shouted in desperation.

We nodded our heads obediently and waited for the others to come in. Horrible thoughts were swirling around in my head. What if they have gotten bitten? And worse, what if they .....died and gotten trampled over like and ant? I shook my head as if to shake those thoughts away from me.


I sighed in relief as Malcolm and Terence and Dao Zhung were running towards us. But it never occured to me that it wouldn't get any worse than it has. As Malcolm and Terence entered in the safe house, Dao Zhung changed his mind and turned the other direction. He quickly grabbed another softball bat, holding one in each hand and started running towards the horde of zombies. "NOOOO! DAO ZHUNG!" Terence shouted in a panicky voice with wde, shocked eyes.


"DAO ZHUNG! YOU IDIOT! DON'T GO IN THERE! COME BACK!" I shouted. But, the sight of him was getting blurer and blurer by the minute. And he simply.....disappeared from view. I knew what was coming, but it was hard to believe it and I didn't want to.

I croaked while holding back my tears " Come.......back.."

En. Sara managed to snap back into reality in time while everyone else were still frozen in their place. He shut all of the entrances to the safe house and started to stacked chairs, tables and everything that he could use to prevent them from coming in.

One, by one we stared at Danly. And he felt our piercing glares at him. He looked bewilderedly at us all "W-what?" he said.


"YOU, YOU .........YOU!!" Terence lunged at Danly within seconds. " WHY THE HELL DID YOU SET OFF THE ALARM IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!? WHY THE HECK DO YOU WANT TO ACT COOL FOR JUST NOW?" He was gonna whack him in the face until Malcolm stopped him.

"This won't solve anything okay?" Malcolm said and stopped Terence's punch in time. Malcolm then punched Danly in the face and he fell onto the ground with a shocked face.

"Didn't you say it wont solve anything?!?!?!" Terence glared at him.

"I know I did. But heck, I didn't say I wouldn't," He smirked. "White" he added.

"Black" Terence gave him a look.


En. Sara was getting a bit crankier by the minute and just snapped "Terence, Malcolm you both had your fun already so why don't you start saving your own asses now and help me. And all of you, it wasn't his fault that it happen! Dao Zhung went off on his own accord and I don't want any of you to do that, you hear?" He looked at everyone of us "Do. You. Understand?"


We all nodded in unision and were too scared to talk back. Kye Chin and Terence were helping En. Sara pushing the fridge to the back door, yeap the fridge. Danly was still on the floor rubbing his wounds from the punches he recieved earlier on.


En. Sara saw Danly on the floor and snapped "Danly, get your ass of the floor and start helping". I pitied him a bit but I was a bit pissed off at him at the same time too. But heck, my anger doesn't last long. So I held out a hand and helped him up.


Malcolm was stacking up some remaining chairs on some tables that were pushed in front of the door. After everything was done, we waited for them to come. I was holding my stick which was a broken piece from a chair. There were some nail at the tip that would help me to whack them more efficiently.


"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" I heard a high pitch scream. My face went pale and it sent shivers down my spine.


"Pull yourself together Yen Ling!" Kye Chin said while shaking some sense into me.

I was wide eyed for a moment and managed to grasp reality again " Thanks Kye Chin. I needed that" I gasp.

"No problem..." She muttered.

Bang...bang...bang! The zombies were knocking themselves against the door. I could see the thick red contaminated blood of the zombies oozing into the safe house under the door. And suddenly, another loud bang came and it went SPLAT! They gave up for a minute. And we thought we were safe for a while. But, boy was I wrong.


It was quite for a minute and then....Bang bang bang bang!! More bangings than earlier on and more zombies came. Thud thud thud! Came large heavy dragging footsteps from the roof but the loud bangings didn't stop at all. Oh...no...They climbed up and they're gonna throw themselves into the roof AND they brought reinforcements Shoooooooot! I thought. Crack! They punched a hole through the roof and were gonna jump down into the safe house and try to attack us and bring us down one at a time. We prepared ourselves from zombies literally falling down from the sky, well roof anyway.


En. Sara muttered to us all "Get ready.."


We all tensed up, waiting for them to jump down. Hopefully, I thought they'll break their bones when they fall.....Nah, too good to be true. One of them were about to jump down but then they paused when that high pitched scream came again. We all covered our ears desperately trying to mute out the scream.


They were falling back. Every single one of them, like as if we weren't the targets anymore. One by one, they jumped of the roof and dragged their feet back, away from us and towards the basketball court. We all sighed in relief and started to think of a plan.


And then..CRACK! Down came the door and a shadow appeared....


My eyes went blurred with tears and I went running towards that shadow and gave a huge hug. "I HATE YOU AND YOU ARE AN ASS I TELL YOU! A STUPID ASS!!" I smiled.

And another year

It makes me feel......sad somehow. The way time moves on quickly, leaving us all scrambling in life to catch up with it. It kinda seems unfair sometimes. I came back from Alor Setar at 4 today and I feel sad leaving actually. I left my two new nephews and niece back there and my grandma and uncles and aunts.


Everytime, we leave and come back again. My grandma has a hard time remembering our names and ...us at all actually. Everytime, we go there......she'll cry because she can't remember and she'll cry again because we always have to go back to KL. It makes my heart break literally.


Anyway, PMR's coming soon. I feel quite...well I don't know what I'm feeling! O_O I feel terrified, scared to death, and well...I'm hoping it goes well. I hope all of us gets straight A's, really. Another 3 more days.....


And ou future would be set. No more turning back. Changes might split us apart. Our lives might never cross again with one another. But, I won't forget and will remember them all =)


The best present would be the thread that connects forever =D

Ahhh.....reached Alor Setar at around almost noon...XD I found my brother's gameboy and I played it XD They're not interested in it anymore and so..I think its mine! 8D


Anyway...I found out yesterday PMR results in on my birthday. I don't know whether I should be happy or sad =/ Anyway, yeah la Char Lie you are a genius for remembering my birthday XD I thought I wouldn't be able to come online at all. But somehow, my cousin is 'stealing' interent connection LOL!


The house doesn't have internet because they just came back from Ireland. Did I mentioned that my cousin brother is more of a bully than my two brothers together? AND ALL THREE OF THEM PAKAT AGAINST ME! T__T Imagine the horror..=(


Everytime I'm minding my own bussiness, he throws a pillow at me/ ruffles my hair/ pull my ponytail T___T



AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!


OH yeah, about the 'stealing' net connection. the house doesn't have internet here. They used to but before leaving for Ireland, it went pooof! XD

So now they're 'borrowing' wireless network from another person in the neighbourhood. I bet that person's mad right now about this. But heck, he/she didnt put a password for the wireless connection thing =.=


And hope we all get good results next week, I'm gonna wish that as my birthday wish. XD

I'm going to maybe be far away not able to stop this...but I want you both to know. You guys are my friends whether or not you hate me despise my whole being.

I will not take sides if you ask me to. I will not help you two to fight one another. So, anyway I love you both and I hope you two wont stop being friends.

Darn it, I thought. No escape from here.. I groaned.

Unfortunately me and Kye Chin, we were stuck in the Prefect's room. Yeap, what the hell right? I mean, I'm sure you're thinking ''why the heck are you guys stuck in the Prefect's room?'' but before making any accusations, I would like to point out we are outnumbered by a group of man-infecting zombies! Okay, fine it sounds absurd and outrageous but if YOU were there in my place you'd believe it. Anyway, on with the story.


We were actually helping a teacher organise the files in the room but somehow something came up well the teacher had leave us alone to do it ourselves. It wasn't that long until we heard terrified screams and yelling.


My eyes went wide with shock and I stared at Kye Chin for while and she had the same look as me. " I wonder what happend." I wondered out loud. She dashed right out the door and with wide eyed eyes, she ran back in and shut the door and locked it. I asked while looking at her bewilderedly " Kye Chin, why are you locking it for? We're gonna finish up soon. And I want to get back to class and - "


She cut me off with a swear word. "Help me push ALL the chairs, tables, or anything heavy against the door!" And off with her pushing some of the tables. I stared at her and blinked my eyes furiously. "Well,"She snapped "Are you helping me or not?!!?" I hurriedly helped her to stack some chairs on to of the tables.


"Kye Chin, what exactly are we-"


Bang bang bang bang! I heard the bangings against the door and I screamed. I saw lots of blood oozing through at the bottom of the door. Kye Chin muttered something under her breath ".....zombies.."


We pushed the tables and chairs with our backs with force, trying to prevent whatever it was out there from forcing their way in. I heard splats and more bones breaking. Their zombie-like groans were getting louder and louder....and my screams were soon drowned in their groans. We were trapped and this gets us back to square one. How are we gonna escape?


I could hear faint yelling something like "....to save your damned ass..!"


More and more came with heavy footsteps.....Thud thud thud....My heart was thumping loudly and fiercely within me. Truthfully, I scared until I could die really but heck, if I don't defend myself I might become one of them. CRACK! The zombies with injured bleeding arms dangling in the hole of the door that they just made, all of it scrambling to grab us both. My arm got caught by one of them and was trying to pull me with force.

I screamed " KYE CHIN HELP ME OUT HERE!!!!!!!!!" She took a chair and started whacking against the arm that caught mine but unfortunately she accidently whacked me too. "OUCH!" I yelled in pain and rubbed my bruised arm.


"Sorry" She gave me a small grin.


"Nevermind.." I muttered under my breath. " You are not allowed to use the chairs anymore" I glared at her.


"Hmm..." She said while getting lost in thought.


"Kye Chin...err.. I don't mean to be rude but....Could you hurry up and HELP me here? I'm still stuck pushing these tables you know!!!" I shouted. Their arms were still scrambling here and there. More arms came in and I was trying to dodgde them as I pushed the tables and chairs against the door to prevent them from coming in. I could hear them hissing against the door.



"Well, I KNOW! But the door can't stand the pressure from them pushing, you smart ass. So, eventually the door's gonna break down anyway! We gotta get something to defend ourselves!" She pointed out.



Dang I thought She has a point. With the hole in the door that they made earlier with ease....The door's gonna fall apart anyway and with their numbers increasing. We got no choice but to break the door down and whack our way through them. Though staying here might seem safer, the more we wait the more they come. And with them whacking themselves against the door...


I looked around and grabbed two hockey sticks. " You want to striped one or the other one?" I asked.

She gave me a look and snapped" What the hell?!? They're both the same!"


I blinked and turned one of the hockey. She was right both had stripes and looked the same"OH..right...." I cleared my throat " I knew that!"


She rolled her eyes and said sarcastically" Uh-huh, right....Yen Ling you really are a genius I tell you!"

I grumbled "Hmph..."

"Okay, since we're ready now...I think we better wait for them instead. Opening the door for them leaves us at a disadvantage..so we wait for them and then-"

I cut her "And then we whack them into pieces. Got it!..........." I paused for a moment. This is no time for hesitating...you gotta do it. You've got to.

I gulped, gripping the hockey stick more firmly in my hands."Boy, I did attend the hockey club practice during koko, but I never liked the sport. And now I'm back again using this hockey stick. I never was good at it anyway......"


Bang! Whack! .....And CRASH! There goes a part of the door. Bits of it were flying everywhere. The zombies were closing in. It wasn't as many as I expected but heck, they still outnumbered us both. They were pushing the tables and chairs we piled up earlier aside. Kye Chin took the first whack and I did right after her. We whacked quite a few of them and blood scattered everywhere. Dripping and oozing as we hit them one by one.


Our killing spree didn't last very long. Our hockey stick broke in half due to the usage. We're doomed. They just keep coming....I thought. We panicked for a while but then came Terence, Dao Zhung, Danly and Malcolm. They had no weapons at hand but, they still fought.

"Hey! Are you guys stupid or what? GET THE FREAKING CHAIRS!"

I managed to pass a chair to Kye Chin and she began to whack them. The guys scrambled to get a chair or a hockey stick. Well, I was no athelete and Kye Chin did a better job than me. So most of the fighting went to her.


After a while, they weren't any of them left in the room only the six of us. It wasn't a nice sight with all the body parts and blood scattered everywhere.
